It seems only a few months ago, we were idolizing the last looks of the Met Gala 2012. The even more impressive looks of 2013 aside, it seems the only thing I’m missing is some Bruno Mars from this years’ (haha, remember his very vintage look last year? Loved it!)! Though not all stayed confined to it, the Punk: Chaos to Couture themed 2013 ball was held on May 6th, as always at the Metropolitan Museum of Art. It was much harder to narrow my choices down this year, so a bigger post full of inspiration from the fabulous New York City event it is! It’s not hard to spot trends occurring here and there, as well as some memorable faces or styles from having dressed the best last year. Once again, they’ve made a worthwhile appearance. Enjoy the old and the new..
Much like 2012, feathers have made another hit. They make for such an eye-capturing dress.
Which one do you prefer?
I love these more fun yet classy-styled dresses!
Did you see Jennifer Lawrence’s winner photobomb!? You’ve got to love her!
Not sure about the hair..(a bit too punk for my liking) but the dress sure looks stunning.
Miley has definitely taken the punk aspect and managed to show off her great figure while!
Doesn’t Solange Knowles always seem to look like a goddess?
She’s one of the reappearing, this year owning a blue number by Kenzo.
Sometimes simple can be the best. These dresses are classic and feminine, and flow wonderfully!
Anna Wintour went for an opposing look to the punk theme, but when you run the biggest fashion magazine in the world, running on your own terms (and doing it well), I’m sure, comes naturally.
Taylor Swift, with the studded neck of a J. Mendel dress and Jessica Alba,
sporting navy blue leather by Tory Burch, mixed edge with elegance perfectly!
The famous trail adds such elegance to a dress. Beyonce works it with her
bold and edgy style, and Amanda Seyfried works a more vintage look.
And finally, there is no disappointment with Eddie Redmayne in a smart navy suit.
Enjoy your Sunday!
